The ancient capital of Lampang a new location of Thai Tourism where has stunning multi-layered waterfalls, wonderful tropical rainforests, and green paddy fields create a beautifully breathtaking feng shui painting.



The ancient capital of Lampang in the Northern Thailand not only is known as the New Star of Thai tourism due to its exquisite ceramic art, circus horses and elephants with skilled performances such as drawing, dancing and playing football, but also possesses many other interesting attractions.

Such destinations in the Northern Thailand as Ngao, Chae Hom, Wang Nuea, Mueang Pan are relatively quiet and rarely known by many tourists although they have a number of attractive spots.

Stopping by the rolling hills of Tham Pha Thai National Park, delighting in the spectacular view of paths from above, breathing in the fresh air and discovering the peaceful and quiet lives of habitants in Ngao, a mountainous district in the north of Thailand, is a new section of the journey finding out unfamiliar parts of this Southeast Asian country.

The entrance of Tham Pha Thai cave, whose width is about 30 meters, has a Buddha and two imposing stalactites from the ground to the cave ceiling which symbolizes immortality. Near the Buddha, there are interlocking autographs of Rama VII King and royal members.
 The cave, formed around 9 million years ago, features 230-million-years-old Lampang stones. The special thing is that no one is allowed to touch stalactites when visiting the cave because that will affect their development. The inner cave is divided into different chambers like Tham Jone, Robbers. Although its entrance is small and hidden from sight by leaning cliffs, when going inside, you can see a large chamber with a hole whose capacity is over 100 people.

Another exciting place of the national park is Lom Phu Khieo, a national reservoir lying in a remote valley of Ngao district. The lake with quiet deep-green water is surrounded by one side of sky-high cliffs and the other side of gentle slopes. Natives consider the lake as a sacred place and the water as holy water. Surrounding trees usually shed their leaves, but the water still remains clean.

Fertile northern Lampang possesses thick forests stretching to Phayao province. Tourists will have the opportunity to contemplate the attractive beauty of picturesque paddy fields along the colorful street leading to Chae Hom district.

On the top of the mountain, there is a temple which is named Wat Chalerm Phrakiat Phra Chom Klao Rachanusorn built to commemorate Rama IV King. Strolling along the sloping path from the mountain foot, you have to climb gently-sloping staircases to reach the temple and enjoy the impressive panoramic view of the entire valley from above.

The next destination for tourists is Chae Son national park which is well-known for the hot spring with its average temperature of 73 degrees Celsius. Besides, adequate spa and accommodation services and camping sites in this place very develop.​
